How we build

CortexaLab is deliberately small. Nikhil Mathew designs, builds, and ships every product, working alongside modern AI tools as a full production team. It is a new way to make software: lean, fast, and AI-native from the first line of code to the last pixel.

We are an AI-native studio in two senses. AI lives inside our apps, doing the tedious thinking for the people who use them. And AI is how we make those apps: product design, engineering, copy, and release work are all AI-augmented, using tools like Codex, Cursor, and Claude Code.

That leverage is why one person can ship polished, store-grade apps on both Google Play and the App Store, and keep shipping. We think this is what the next generation of software companies looks like: small teams doing a few things exceptionally well.

Being small is not an apology; it is the point. But leverage never means cutting corners. AI assists, and a human owns every decision and reviews every release before it reaches real people.
