How we build

CortexaLab is one person. Nikhil Mathew does the product design, the engineering, the copy, the store listings and the support email for both PlanNEat and GetSorted.

AI-native means two things here. Inside the apps, AI does work you would otherwise do by hand: assembling a week of meals, looking up what goes into a dish, writing a recipe on request. Behind them, AI does the volume work of building. Codex, Cursor and Claude Code write code, draft copy and prepare releases.

That is why one person can keep two apps live on Google Play and the App Store at the same time. It is probably close to what a lot of small software companies will look like shortly: three or four people with the output of thirty, deliberately doing very little.

Being small is the point, not an apology. It has real costs. Features land slower than they would with a team, and there is nobody to cover a bad week. In exchange, nothing ships that one person has not read end to end.
